Watermelons that look like this - never seen one in a lifetime of growing them

The summer heat is hard to bear, and eating watermelon is a must-do in summer. As the best fruit for cooling off and quenching thirst, watermelon is naturally loved by many people! But after eating melons for so many years, you have definitely never seen the following kinds of watermelons! Even melon farmers who have grown watermelons their whole lives say: "I've grown watermelons my whole life and never seen such strange melons!"
NO.1 Giant watermelon
Chen Jianbing, a grower in Wanji Town, Dachuan District, Dazhou City, Sichuan, grew a giant watermelon weighing over 100 jin this year, with a diameter exceeding 50 cm; "Such a big watermelon is scary, can you even eat it?" After citizen Mr. Sun forwarded the giant watermelon to his WeChat Moments, it immediately sparked heated discussion among netizens.
It is understood that the giant watermelon weighs 103 jin, but because this melon contains no sugar, it is generally not eaten and is mainly used for ornamental purposes and carving. Chen Jianbing said he plans to improve his techniques next year to grow bigger and heavier watermelons.
(The giant watermelon is clearly much larger compared with an ordinary watermelon)
NO.2 Square watermelon
Square watermelons were cultivated in Japan, originally to make storage easier and save space. They are not genetically modified watermelons; people simply place them in a transparent box during cultivation, so they grow into a square shape when ripe.
These square watermelons are picked in Japan before they ripen and sold to Russia. Square watermelons taste the same as ordinary watermelons and weigh about the same, roughly 6 kg each; the only difference is the price between the two.
The price of square watermelons has quickly risen to around $860, about 300 times that of ordinary watermelons. Compared with abroad, square watermelons are quite cheap in their place of origin, Japan, at about $80 each (about 490 yuan).
NO.3 Ball watermelon
Master Gong and Granny Wang, a couple both aged 60, live in Team 2, Gongzhuang, Liuji Office, High-tech Zone, and have grown watermelons for over 30 years, but this year they grew something rare. Granny Wang said that when their daughter went to Beijing on business, she brought back some watermelon seeds. So the elderly couple planted them in their own field, and also planted some local watermelons, but when it came time to harvest, they noticed something unusual.
Master Gong picked a few melons to see if they were ripe. They looked no different from ordinary watermelons, but when the "ball watermelons" were dropped from a height, they did not break and even bounced a little. Granny Wang also tried stir-frying them and found that once cooked, the watermelon tasted like winter melon - it did not fall apart easily and had a sour taste, so the texture was not very good. The two then picked all the watermelons and took them home, not daring to sell them.
NO.4 One vine, a hundred melons
According to traditional growing experience, a single watermelon vine mostly bears only one melon. Recently, media reported that in a melon field somewhere in the high-efficiency agriculture demonstration zone of Xincun Town, Xinzheng City, Henan, a single melon vine actually grew 131 watermelons, astonishing the world, and this high-yield watermelon thus set a new Guinness World Record.
Investigation showed that most of the watermelons on this vine weighed over 20 jin, with an average horizontal diameter of over 30 cm per fruit, and they were of excellent quality with very high sweetness. In view of this, the certifying official presented a Guinness World Record certificate on site, and the watermelons grown in Xincun Town successfully set a Guinness World Record for the most fruit set on a single plant.
