What is intelligent atomization technology?
Intelligent atomization technology uses computer-controlled methods to atomize nutrient solution - which supports plant growth and has functions such as physical sterilization - at the roots of vegetables, thereby greatly reducing the use of water and pesticides and achieving green cultivation.
Classification of atomization cultivation
Atomization cultivation is divided into spray cultivation and ultrasonic mist cultivation. Spray cultivation is now used on a large scale for large-scale production, while ultrasonic mist cultivation, although not mainstream, is more suitable when the planting area is not too large.
Investment advantages of aeroponic technology
1. Reduced investment cost
Take leafy vegetables as an example. For every kilogram of leafy vegetables produced,"soil cultivation" requires 400 kg of water, a ratio of 1:400; "hydroponics" requires 40 kg of water, a ratio of 1:40; while aeroponic cultivation uses no more than 10 kg of water,saving 40 times more water than "soil cultivation" and more than 4 times more water than "hydroponics". For the water use of drought-loving plants, the water consumption of "aeroponic cultivation" can be even less.
2. Shortened production cycle
For traditionally soil-cultivated bok choy, it takes 90-100 days from seedling raising to harvest,while the whole process using aeroponic cultivation takes about 20-25 days.For the cucumbers trial-planted, the seedlings were 10-15 cm tall before transplanting, and ten days after transplanting they reached 30-35 cm; the tomato seedlings were 25 cm tall before transplanting, and ten days after transplanting they reached 60-70 cm, with very well-developed root systems, and after 75 days the roots reached 2.6 m in length.
3. Increased production yield
Regardless of the variety cultivated, aeroponic cultivation alwaysproduces 10 times to even dozens of times more than soil cultivation, and can increase yield several times over ordinary soilless cultivation.
4. Guaranteed pollution-free product quality
First, aeroponic cultivation is soilless cultivation, letting crops grow in the air, which reduces contact with the pathogens the roots would encounter when growing in soil. In addition, crops grown with aeroponic cultivation technology can be said to befree of pesticide residues, or with the least pesticide residues.
5. Nutritional advantages of vegetables
Comparing the nutritional value of vegetables grown by aeroponics with ordinary vegetables: vegetables grown by aeroponics require no soil or growing substrate, only nutrient solution; insect-proof nets and electro-functional water are used to prevent the invasion of pests and diseases, thus avoiding continuous cropping obstacles, weather disasters, and heavy metal pollution, ensuring that the vegetables are safe, clean and hygienic, and can be picked and eaten at any time without washing.Besides being crisp, tender and refreshing in taste, the vitamin C content is more than three times that of ordinary cultivation, and it can achieve year-round production, and its growth rate is even faster than hydroponics. Testing has shown it reaches the national standard for green, pollution-free vegetables, making it a green organic vegetable.
For individual farmers, the aeroponic cultivation model is also not difficult to master. You only need to purchase ultrasonic atomizing heads, a cultivation box, a power supply and timer switch to control the ultrasonic waves, plus floating bodies and planting boards, and that is all - very simple.
