Quail farming helps farmers realize their dream of prosperity

On August 9, the parents of Wang Yong, a large-scale quail farmer in Chuohuor Village, Chuohuor Township, Qapqal Xibe Autonomous County, collect quail eggs.

In 2005, Wang Yong, then 26 years old, discovered that quail farming was still a blank in the Ili River Valley, so he raised funds from various sources and introduced 7,000 chicks at once, which produced benefits that same year. Last year, he invested another 700,000 yuan and built 3 factory buildings of about 700 sq m. At present, the 60,000 quail raised by Wang Yong produce more than 200 kg of eggs every day, sold to Yining, Kuitun, Dushanzi, Urumqi and the Khorgos Port and other places, with an annual income of 300,000 yuan.
