The weed in rural mountain gullies that even sheep won't eat, ten-fragrance herb, turns out to be a delicacy for city people

In restaurants in Zhengzhou, whether it's cold dishes or noodles, they like to add a kind of jingjie, also called "ten-fragrance herb." At first I didn't know; eating it was fairly refreshing, but it felt very different from the jingjie at home. Later, when I got home, I enthusiastically picked a handful of tender jingjie and put it in the pot, yet not a single family member would eat it. That was truly a numbing, spicy, sour, and exhilarating experience...
A few days ago, a buddy from Zhengzhou came to the village to hang out. After the rain, white clouds curled around the mountain forest, and my friend asked to climb the mountain.
Who knew that when we reached a gully, my friend stopped walking, as if she had discovered a new continent, her mouth open wide enough to fit an egg. She said: You rural people are really wasteful, with so much jingjie and you don't eat it! I tasted it, and these grasses really are the jingjie used in Zhengzhou restaurants. But the nearby shepherd said these grasses are weeds, and even goats only eat the newly sprouted tender tips.
I looked it up on Baidu, and it turns out these so-called jingjie are not what we mountain people call jingjie. Its name should be "basil."
