In the valley, a remote and secluded place. Birds wake the lush green woods with their songs, and when the wind blows, the leaves rustle with a swishing sound, carrying air filled with the natural scent of wildflowers and green grass from the mountains. The sweeping green grass and the blue sky and white clouds complement each other, forming a beautiful picture. Slightly out of place is the appearance of four old boys here, wearing shorts and slippers, their unrestrained laughter echoing continuously through the valley.
In February 2015, Xu Huaizhe, Tian Chao, Yue Liang, and Zhang Xiaoyin, four old boys, rented 2500 mu of mountain forest land in Yanqing, Beijing, with a lease term until 2047. Their initial idea was to find a valley with a few good friends and live a life close to nature. Now, they have a more interesting plan, turning this place into Jimu Commune, and they jokingly call themselves and the people who come to live here "Jiyou." This is a container community, attracting those who long to be close to nature and pursue a poetic life.
This valley is 80 kilometers from Beijing, located in Tielu Village, Yanqing. This place has not experienced much development, and everything is as it originally was. Throughout the four seasons, there are different scenes: drinking mountain spring water, picking mushrooms, gathering wild fruits, tidying up weeds... Yue Liang's wife especially loves the life here. What she loves most is tea brewed with mountain spring water.
The four good Jiyou in the valley, when free, play the piano and sing together, and occasionally recall how they looked when they first came here. They each have different skills: an internet marketing expert handles marketing, a corporate executive handles planning, and a construction designer and an independent brand designer handle brand promotion. Everyone does their utmost, busying themselves for Jimu Commune.
Through the unremitting efforts of the four good Jiyou, this once desolate and uninhabited valley has water, electricity, and internet built from nothing, with 100 Mbps fiber optic Wi-Fi coverage. In order not to damage the local environment, Jimu Commune's decoration style fits nature, the building materials are mainly eco-friendly materials, and the developed area is not large. Here, you can climb a high mountain and gaze at the scenery, or steal a moment from your busy schedule to pick wild fruits, and even, like wildflowers and wild grass, stretch your limbs freely and do anything you want to do.
