Ecological Duck Farming Opens a New Path to Prosperity for Farmers
Dayu Ecological Farming Co., Ltd. draws on the city's uniquely favorable natural conditions and abundant water resources to carry out ecological duck farming. Through hard work and struggle, its farming business is now thriving and has achieved remarkable results.
Our city is rich in water resources, has pleasant scenery and uniquely favorable natural conditions, and has long attracted the attention of countless entrepreneurs, Jiang Haijun among them. A native of Harbin, Jiang Haijun was drawn to the ecological environment here the first time he came to Hulin, and founded Dayu Ecological Farming Co., Ltd. in Zhengyi Village, Baodong Town. After years of hard work, his farming business has begun to take shape.
Relying on his duck-farming expertise, Jiang Haijun invested 5 million yuan in succession, built a 1,300 sq m brooding room and a 5,000 sq m breeding room, purchased farming equipment, and made full use of the existing fish ponds in Zhengyi Village to begin his own path to prosperity through duck farming. To expand production, Jiang Haijun built a new egg product processing workshop, introduced an egg product production line, and broadened the product sales market.
This year, with the support and encouragement of the Municipal Agriculture Bureau, Jiang Haijun began trying rice-field duck farming. This farming method is a compound ecosystem formed by making full use of the mutually beneficial symbiotic relationship between rice and ducks. The ducks move about and forage in the rice fields, not only weeding, fertilizing and aerating, but the rice fields also provide a good living environment for the ducks, while ensuring that the rice further improves in organic quality and achieving the "three reductions" in the rice fields.
Today, under Jiang Haijun's leadership, more and more villagers are also beginning to pay attention to the duck farming industry. Next year, Jiang Haijun will establish a farming professional cooperative on the existing basis, so that ecological farming can take shape at scale and broaden the channels for farmers to increase their income.
