Grape Grand Garden: A unique journey through grape culture

By the banks of Ziyang Lake in Dazeshan, Chang Yunjun has created a "Grape Grand Garden" covering more than 200 mu. Here, grape varieties and grape culture come together like a grand feast, leaving a deep impression. Among the vineyards of Dazeshan, the Grape Grand Garden stands out uniquely, endowing the grape industry with poetry and humanistic charm, full of distinctive appeal.

Upon entering the Grand Garden, the history corridor on the right draws everyone to stop and linger. The legends about Dazeshan grapes are fully expressed in the verses: "Taizong bestowed the name Lion's Eye, the fine fame of Zeshan grapes spreads far and wide, in golden September comes the Grape Festival, where outstanding guests gather at the Grand Garden." The estate owner has a poetic and richly meaningful passion for grapes.

The Flavor Corridor is a novel scenic spot in the Grand Garden, a grape corridor carefully created by Chang Yunjun. "The farther in you go, the more you feel this is a magical place!" The accompanying visitors all said the Flavor Corridor was full of fun. The magic lies in the fact that along the corridor of several hundred meters, every 10 meters there is a grape with a unique flavor: mango flavor, osmanthus flavor, red wine flavor, lychee flavor...... At the end of the corridor there is even durian-flavored grape, meaning "lingering with no thought of leaving." Speaking of the red wine-flavored grape variety, Chang Yunjun said with a smile: "Others harvest grapes to make wine; I grew the wine out, wine growing inside the grape." After tasting a grape with lychee aroma, "If it had been born a few hundred years earlier, why would there have been any need to deliver lychees a thousand li!" What good fortune this is; even Yang Guifei could not have envied it.

Going up along the hillside there is a Moon-Worshipping Pavilion, resembling a dragon's head pointing east, with the dragon's tail extending along the Flavor Corridor and History Corridor to Ziyang Lake. Beside the Moon-Worshipping Pavilion, overlooking the entire Grand Garden, rows of grape trellises are neatly arranged and lushly green. In Dazeshan, generations of residents have planted grapes, building from generation to generation a sweet and steadfast dream.

What is even more delightful and surprising is that in the Grape Grand Garden, Chang Yunjun has carefully created a grape museum that gathers the finest elements. In the museum, everything is displayed one by one, from grape derivative products and medicinal value to grape packaging, cultural relics and awards received. Each item represents the growth or transformation of the grape industry, and the story of each stage is a brilliant embellishment in the history of the Dazeshan grape industry. Continuing further inside, there are also grape-related calligraphy works, paintings and other artistic works. The cultural heritage shines before the eyes, and one cannot help but deeply admire that such a quiet and peaceful small town could possess such profound and thought-provoking industrial cultural connotations.

Walking out of the museum, there is a stone stele at the entrance engraved with "Auspicious Three Treasures." Chang Yunjun explained that here there is a grapevine formed by three kinds of grapevines intertwining and growing together, and on the trellis are three grapes of different flavors: Longyan, Muscat Hamburg, and Zexiang. There are still many interesting highlights. The Grape Grand Garden is like a cultural journey and also like an exploration of secrets, always offering unexpected and interesting surprises, leaving people wanting more!

Chang Yunjun's path of building the museum continues. The wine bar, tasting room and outdoor leisure area in the museum are still under construction. In this way, the Grape Grand Garden will welcome more tourists to sightsee and experience Dazeshan grape culture. Having appeared on CCTV's program "My Chinese Dream" and Hunan TV's program "Day Day Up," Chang Yunjun has already gained some fame, yet he himself is sincere and unassuming, using his focus and dedication to the grape industry to root industrial culture deeply in his heart. With the continuous improvement and progress of the industry and the accumulation of culture, the Dazeshan grape industry has a more solid foundation. What a beautiful Dazeshan with its fine mountains and waters, and what a magical and interesting Grape Grand Garden.
