A reminder for rural entrepreneurship

Many farmers today are looking for ways to get rich. Their eagerness to prosper is understandable. But some of them often end up being cheated. A reader from Yangzhou, Jiangsu recommended this article to us: a few precautions for rural entrepreneurship. Farmers who want to get rich should read it to avoid being scammed.

Buying back at high prices

Some people, under the banner of XXX Medicinal Herb Research Institute or XX Medicinal Herb Market, sell seeds and seedlings. They recklessly boast about certain varieties whose prices have fallen, claiming they are scarce medicinal herbs whose cultivation is encouraged by the state, and the ads deliberately give a vague impression, saying the output value per mu is tens of thousands of yuan. This tempts those who do not understand the medicinal herb market but are eager to get rich. They also describe varieties that have strict requirements for environment and cultivation techniques as suitable for both north and south and easy to manage. They use tricks such as “buying back at high prices” to deceive people.

Buying back collectibles

Some advertisers greatly exaggerate that buying ancient coins and other items can make you rich. Following their materials to collect ancient coins, you could obtain many coins worth several hundred to several tens of thousands of yuan, and then sell them at an ancient coin trading market and become a wealthy person. The trap here is that the advertiser uses the pretext of “long-term purchasing of ancient coins, badges, paper money, coins, etc.” merely to attract you into paying a high price to buy their related materials.

Processing with supplied materials

Some people use the bait of paying high processing fees and buying back products to collect processing management fees and trick people out of deposits. The ads say that as long as you pay a deposit, you can get materials for free, assemble them, and have the products bought back, allowing you to earn generous assembly fees. When you pay the deposit, get the materials, finish assembling the products and submit them, the advertiser often refuses to accept them on the grounds that the assembly is substandard, with the aim of cheating you out of several thousand yuan in deposit.

Joint venture factory

Some ”manufacturers“ place ads in newspapers and periodicals claiming to supply materials free of charge and seeking joint venture processing of gloves or clothing. They say that as long as you buy their processing machinery and pay a deposit to get materials for free processing, and the factory is responsible for buying back the products, you can obtain high processing fees. The result is not like that. When you buy their machinery, pay the deposit, get materials, finish processing the products and submit them, the factory will also refuse to accept them as substandard, or the manufacturer will disappear. The purpose of these ads seeking joint venture processing is to sell their inferior machinery and trick people out of deposits.

Transferring “patents”

Some units or individuals, in order to cheat people out of so-called technology transfer fees, specifically provide immature, false and practically worthless technologies and claim they have already obtained patents. In fact, the vast majority of products made according to the technical materials are fake and inferior products. If you check the patent office according to the patent provided, you will find that it is entirely nonexistent.
