Li Li, a Leader in Wild Vegetable Cultivation, Helps Villagers Get Rich
Li Li, male, born in December 1985, with a bachelor's degree, is a native of Yueyang County, Hunan Province. He is one of the first batch of university graduate village officials in Hunan Province, and currently serves as deputy secretary of the Party branch and village director of Xinwu Village, Yanglousi Town, Linxiang City, Hunan Province, as well as chairman of the Hunan Luye Xingchen Mountain Wild Vegetable Professional Cooperative.
Xinwu Village is the south gate of Yanglousi Town, with convenient transportation, and is a key village in China's hometown of bamboo ware. In recent years, the village "two committees" have carried out overall planning for Xinwu Village, focusing on strengthening the organic combination of Xinwu Village's bamboo culture industry and small-scale agricultural leisure, creating two demonstration areas, Xinwu Village's Xiumei Zhen Ditch and Xingye Great House, and attracting investment to establish more than a dozen enterprises including a bamboo and wood processing factory, a quarry, a biomass pellet fuel factory, a shale environmentally friendly brick factory, a colored tile factory, and a cement factory. The village's total industrial and agricultural output value reached 120 million yuan, and the per capita net income reached 17,800 yuan.
As a university graduate village official, after coming to Xinwu Village, Li Li remained consistent in his post, rigorous and pragmatic, serving the masses wholeheartedly, and completing various work tasks with high quality, making Xinwu Village stand out in the city's new socialist countryside construction and earn honors such as "Yueyang City New Socialist Countryside Demonstration Village" and "Hunan Province New Socialist Countryside Construction Demonstration Village."
In addition, Li Li tempered his resolve, made bold innovations, led the villagers onto the path of entrepreneurship and prosperity, and used entrepreneurship to write a youth without regret. He founded the Hunan Luye Xingchen Mountain Wild Vegetable Professional Cooperative, driving more than one hundred households in surrounding villages and towns to cultivate mountain wild vegetables, achieving a breakthrough in villagers' net income from several thousand yuan to tens of thousands of yuan, and making the mountain wild vegetable project a good project for strengthening agriculture and enriching the people locally. Li Li therefore received the honorary title of the 9th National Rural Entrepreneurship Leader.
