The 3rd China Agricultural Machinery Operators Competition Northern League Concludes Successfully
Our reporter Yang Mengfan: On September 1, amid repeated chants of "I am an operator, I am proud," the "Wuzheng Cup" 3rd China Agricultural Machinery Operators Competition Northern League successfully concluded in Taiyuan, Shanxi. After 4 days of competition, nearly 400 contestants from Shanxi, Shaanxi, Hebei, Tianjin and Gansu produced 64 contestants who will take part in the Beijing finals in mid-November.
The competition set up 4 events: reverse parking and warehouse transfer, hitching agricultural machinery implements, agricultural machinery fishing, and agricultural machinery ditching. A weighted scoring system was used throughout, with rankings based on contestants' overall points, and after each round some of the lower-ranked operators were eliminated. After intense elimination rounds, promotion rounds and finals, the top three from the 5 provinces were successively produced. But the eliminated operators did not mean they had no chance to take part in subsequent competition, because this competition set up a QR code revival vote. Although the number of places was very limited, it still gave operators a chance at "rebirth." Eliminated operators could mobilize relatives and friends to vote for the operators they supported, and the top 10 vote-getters could successfully enter the "revival" competition.
This Northern League was hosted by Farmers' Daily, the Shanxi Provincial Agriculture, Forestry and Water Conservancy Trade Union, and the Shanxi Provincial Agricultural Machinery Bureau, and exclusively titled by Shandong Wuzheng Group Co., Ltd. It is reported that the 3rd China Operators Competition has already held regional qualifiers and inter-provincial leagues of different forms and scales in Lingwu City, Ningxia Autonomous Region, Jining City, Shandong Province, Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province and other places.
