Pan Dongming: Doing rural e-commerce and rural "Internet Plus" requires solving two problems

Pan Dongming, founder of Ganje rural e-commerce, talks about e-commerce and returning home to start a business

To implement the decisions and arrangements of the Party Central Committee and the State Council on carrying out the "Internet Plus" action plan and advancing mass entrepreneurship and innovation, on September 6 the Ministry of Agriculture held the National "Internet Plus" Modern Agriculture Work Conference and New Farmers Entrepreneurship and Innovation Conference in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, summarizing and exchanging the good practices and good experience of localities in advancing the "Internet Plus" modern agriculture action, and studying and arranging the key work of "Internet Plus" modern agriculture during the "13th Five-Year Plan" period. When talking about e-commerce and returning home to start a business, Pan Dongming, founder of Ganje rural e-commerce, held that doing rural e-commerce and rural "Internet Plus" requires solving two problems.

Pan Dongming said the first problem is the problem of concepts, which must be solved first. Our approach is to establish an association, and through the association conduct training, providing systematic training to the government, enterprises and farmers so that they accept Internet knowledge. I think that to this day this matter is very important.

Pan Dongming said the second point is that the core of rural e-commerce is to solve the upward flow of agricultural products. The core of the upward flow of agricultural products is actually not marketing, but the standardized supply chain management behind it. So we established a public service center, built a supply chain management model, and explored standardizing, cold-chain handling and packaging our smallholder agricultural products into commodities, and so on.
