Shelducks produce ecological eggs, one can sell for 2 yuan
In Fujin City, Heilongjiang Province, there is a group of people who either turned duck eggs into "golden eggs" through a brand-new model, or carved out a path to prosperity by planting fruit trees. These people, known as "local experts," have now become the darlings who drive prosperity in this land.
As soon as you walk into Changfa Village, Yanshan Town, Fujin City, you can see hundreds of ducklings playing happily in the ditches beside the rice fields. These are not ordinary ducks, but ecologically farmed shelducks.
According to Fan Xiwu and his wife, the owners of these ducks, 10 years ago the elderly couple had nothing to do besides farming two and a half ha of corn. By chance, they heard people say that raising ecologically farmed shelducks and selling duck eggs was quite profitable. The two discussed it: the family grew corn, so feed was not lacking, and the small fish in the rice field ditches could serve as supplementary feed, so the conditions were in place. They therefore decided to buy a few hundred shelducks and try raising them. Hard work pays off. Under the careful tending of Fan Xiwu and his wife, the shelducks had a high survival rate and laid eggs that same year. Speaking of the economic benefits, the elderly Fan couple were all smiles.
Now, the 260 shelducks raised by old Fan can lay about 250 duck eggs every day, with an egg-laying rate as high as over 95%. Because the shelducks he raises are ecologically friendly, although one of the eggs sells for 2 yuan, they are still in short supply on the market. The tiny ecological duck eggs have also turned into one after another "golden eggs" for getting rich.
