2016 Rural Dilapidated House Renovation Policies

A dilapidated house refers to a house whose structure has been seriously damaged or whose load-bearing components have become dangerous components, which may lose structural stability and load-bearing capacity at any time, and cannot guarantee the safety of living and use. China's rural dilapidated house renovation and agricultural reclamation dilapidated house renovation are part of the national affordable housing project. Let's take a look at the 2016 rural dilapidated house renovation policies below!

Scope of Subsidies for Rural Dilapidated House Renovation

1. Decentralized support households under the five guarantees: Decentralized support households under the five guarantees refer to those five-guarantee households that have not been placed in nursing homes and still live scattered in rural areas. In principle, rural dilapidated house renovation subsidy funds are only allocated to rural decentralized support five-guarantee households who have no house or live in dilapidated houses.

2. Households receiving the minimum living allowance: Households receiving the minimum living allowance refer to farming households that are relatively poor, have enjoyed the national minimum living allowance policy, and hold a minimum living allowance certificate issued by the civil affairs department.

3. Poor disabled person households: Poor disabled person households refer to farming households whose family life is relatively poor and who hold a disabled person certificate issued by the disabled persons' federation department.

Sample Application Letter for Rural Dilapidated House Renovation

________ Village Committee:

________ Township People's Government:

I am a farmer from ____ Group, ____ Village, ____ Township, with a family of ____ people. We currently have __ mud-brick rooms, about ____ square meters, including one kitchen and one room.

It has been __ years since the house was self-built, and in addition to being in disrepair for a long time, it has suffered wind and rain natural disasters for several consecutive years. Since ______, many cracks have appeared in the house, and the tiles on the roof often leak. At present, the house is already tottering, with cracked and tilted walls, rotted and disconnected beams and columns, a roof that lets light through, and falling tiles. Dangers lurk everywhere, and it has become a dilapidated house that cannot be lived in, endangering the lives and safety of the whole family.

My family is very poor and is a poor household. Apart from the crop harvest from farming and me working away from home alone, there is no other source of income. My elderly father and mother are already eighty years old, old and frequently ill, and can no longer go to the fields to work or go up the mountains to labor. My son and daughter are both in school now, and supporting their schooling is difficult. However, because the family is truly very poor, there is no spare money to renovate our housing. I myself have the will but not the strength, and have no economic means to improve our family's housing conditions so that family members can live with peace of mind. Due to financial difficulties, it is impossible to rebuild the house.

Now I am delighted to hear of the government's rural dilapidated house renovation project and related policies benefiting the people, and its protection of the people's lives and property safety, which keeps many dilapidated house households who live in fear amid wind and rain away from danger, making them weep with joy! Therefore I want to request a subsidy, and earnestly ask the village committee and township government to promptly verify the dangerous condition of the dilapidated house and help apply to higher authorities for funding assistance for dilapidated house renovation. I guarantee that the subsidy I apply for is only to improve my family's housing problem, and I will absolutely not do anything else unrelated to this. I earnestly request the leaders' approval! I hereby apply.
