The shortage of rural e-commerce talent needs to be urgently addressed
In recent years, rural e-commerce has shown a trend of rapid development, and e-commerce has brought about a situation of "mass entrepreneurship and innovation." Rural e-commerce is not only the next piece of cake in the eyes of many e-commerce giants, but also a breakthrough point for the transformation and upgrading of county economies. The development of rural e-commerce is not only highly valued by the state and possesses huge market consumption potential, but has also become an important engine for the development of the "regional economy" in many places.
The internet is profoundly changing the original model of county economies. However, while rural e-commerce is being rapidly deployed and experiencing high-speed growth, it still faces many challenges in terms of information infrastructure, logistics systems and professional teams. Among them, the biggest challenge is the ever-widening gap in e-commerce talent, especially the lack of compound talents who understand both planting and business, as well as e-commerce. After experiencing initial high-speed growth, many rural e-commerce enterprises lack staying power, which has played an increasingly prominent role in shackling the development of rural e-commerce.
At present, the lagging talent cultivation model of universities, the shortage of rural e-commerce talent and the outflow of talent are all issues that urgently need to be addressed in the construction of the rural e-commerce talent team. First, the e-commerce talent cultivation model of universities lags behind, theory is divorced from rural practice, and students lack practical hands-on ability, resulting in a structural contradiction between supply and demand. Second, there is a shortage of rural e-commerce talent. The rural population itself has relatively low cultural quality, and many people have not received formal education and training. The differences between urban and rural areas in economic development, public services, infrastructure and preferential policies are relatively large, and more and more talent choose to stay in cities for development. Even people with relevant abilities are unwilling to choose to stay in rural areas, which causes the shortage of rural e-commerce talent. Third, there is an outflow of rural e-commerce talent. Attracted by various preferential policies of urban enterprises, or due to realistic issues such as salary and benefits, the phenomenon of talent outflow occurs.
The development of rural e-commerce cannot be separated from the core drive of e-commerce talent. Solving the problem of the shortage of rural e-commerce talent is a systematic project that requires joint management and coordinated efforts at all levels. In the author's view, to truly solve this problem, it is necessary to increase training efforts, form a strong publicity atmosphere, and attach importance to talent introduction and cultivation.
First, a talent matching mechanism should be established with universities. Starting from the source of e-commerce talent cultivation, close cooperative relations should be established with universities, and employment agreements should be reached with universities on terms such as the employment standards for rural e-commerce, the skill level that talent should achieve, and the minimum period during which talent needs to work in rural areas. Students can use winter and summer vacations to participate in internships and improve their practical abilities.
Second, improve the salary and benefits of rural e-commerce talent, formulate a sound salary system and promotion mechanism, and regularly issue performance bonuses to stimulate work potential and enthusiasm, so as to avoid talent outflow.
Third, strengthen vocational skills training. With the continuous development of rural e-commerce, the talent structure required by rural e-commerce is also constantly changing. Relevant departments should establish unified rural e-commerce service centers, regularly organize vocational skills training, create more practical conditions for trainees, improve the vocational skill level of in-service personnel, and cultivate more talent suitable for rural e-commerce positions.
Fourth, strengthen the cultivation of young e-commerce talent. Among the main bodies of rural e-commerce entrepreneurship, young people are the most active entrepreneurial group. A large number of young people returning to their hometowns to engage in e-commerce entrepreneurship has become the greatest vitality of rural e-commerce. At this stage, young people have a strong thirst for knowledge and ability to accept new things. As long as training efforts are increased, young e-commerce talent will grow rapidly.
Fifth, continuously improve the cultivation model for e-commerce talent. According to the characteristics of rural e-commerce and the requirements of rural industrial development, adopt multiple methods such as local cultivation and entrusted cultivation to cultivate talent, gradually form a multi-level training network at the county, township and village levels, cultivate more professional talent that meets the market demand of rural e-commerce according to local conditions, and fill the talent gap in rural e-commerce as soon as possible.
