At around ten o'clock that morning, with ceremonial cannons firing, the "AT-3N" smart agricultural unmanned helicopter, jointly developed by Jiangsu Tianyu Aviation Technology Co., Ltd. and the 60th Research Institute of the General Staff Department of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, held its launch and debut ceremony in Changzhou. The "AT-3N" smart agricultural drone debuted this time has reached internationally leading levels in safety, stability, efficiency and intelligence, and will drive the upgrading of modern agriculture from mechanization to intelligentization, injecting new vitality into China's agriculture.
Yan Li, Secretary of the CPC Changzhou Municipal Committee, Jiang Wugen, Director of the 60th Research Institute of the General Staff Department, and other leaders and representatives of relevant units attended the launch ceremony, while 11 institutions including Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics and Nanjing University of Science and Technology were invited to attend the event.
Zhou Bin, Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Changzhou National High-tech District and Secretary of the Xinbei District Committee, introduced at the launch ceremony: As the state gradually opens low-altitude airspace, the airport economy is widely viewed with optimism. As a modern manufacturing base in the Yangtze River Delta, Changzhou has outstanding production support capabilities, while enterprises in the general aviation field such as New United Aviation, Lanxiang Machinery and Beijing General Aviation have also been seizing opportunities in recent years to accelerate development and rise vigorously. Relying on favorable foundational conditions such as Benniu International Airport and Changzhou Airport Industrial Park, the general aviation industry has been included in the city's ten major industrial chains for priority construction and one of the eight major industrial chains for priority construction in Changzhou High-tech District, focusing on general aircraft, business jets and drones to promote complete aircraft manufacturing and maintenance, while also developing aviation services mainly covering aviation logistics, business jets, aviation tourism and emergency rescue.
This year, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the State Council and the Central Military Commission issued the "Opinions on the Integration of Economic Development and National Defense Development," promoting the implementation of the military-civilian integration development strategy through eight major measures including advancing the specialized restructuring of military industrial enterprises, expanding the introduction of social capital, advancing mixed-ownership reform and advancing low-altitude airspace reform. Jiang Wugen, Director of the 60th Research Institute of the General Staff Department, said: The "AT-3N" smart agricultural unmanned helicopter exhibited at this launch ceremony is a representative product of the 60th Research Institute's civil-application adaptation of original military models in recent years, with special research and development carried out especially for the field of agricultural plant protection drones, effectively solving technical bottlenecks such as endurance and precision in agricultural aviation plant protection, adapting to multiple environments and terrains, and at the same time working with Tianyu Aviation to start from the market and provide practical and feasible commercial promotion models and user solutions for customers at all levels.
It is reported that the total investment of the drone project jointly developed by both sides is 1 billion yuan, with registered capital of 100 million yuan and total project land of about 300 mu, mainly for research, development, production and sales of medium and large unmanned helicopters and components, medium- and high-end fixed-wing aircraft, special stealth materials, agricultural machinery, drone systems, platform mission payloads, high-resolution information acquisition and processing systems and other products.
