Average yield per mu of the 10,000-mu super rice area in Guangshan County exceeds 800 kg
The Henan Provincial Agricultural Technology Extension Association organized relevant experts to conduct an actual harvesting and yield measurement acceptance check on the 10,000-mu super hybrid rice demonstration block located in Zhuqiao Town, Guangshan County. The results showed that the average yield per mu of the 10,000-mu block exceeded 800 kg, reaching 813.5 kg, completing the set target on schedule.
The super hybrid rice "hundred-thousand-ten thousand" high-yield research demonstration project was led by Academician Yuan Longping in 2014, with a plan to achieve the high-yield research targets within three years of "1,000 kg per mu for the 100-mu block, 900 kg per mu for the 1,000-mu block, and 800 kg per mu for the 10,000-mu block." Guangshan County is one of only two 10,000-mu high-yield research demonstration counties in the country. According to on-site yield measurement and actual harvesting acceptance by experts, in 2014 and 2015 the average yields per mu of the 100-mu demonstration block and the 1,000-mu demonstration block in the Guangshan County project area both exceeded 1,000 kg and 900 kg, achieving the phased expected targets for those years.
This year is the third and final year of implementing the super hybrid rice "hundred-thousand-ten thousand" high-yield research demonstration project. According to the plan, the average yield per mu of the 10,000-mu demonstration block must reach 800 kg, fully completing the scheduled targets and tasks of the "hundred-thousand-ten thousand" high-yield research demonstration project.
In this actual harvesting and yield measurement acceptance check, 8 plots were actually harvested, with an actual harvested area of no less than 500 sq m per plot. Through on-site weighing of the gross weight of the rice grain and determination of the moisture content of the rice grain, the actual harvesting acceptance showed that the average yield of the 10,000-mu super hybrid rice demonstration block was 813.5 kg per mu.
