Just after the Start of Winter, the temperature in Junlian Village, Zhongdu Town, Shanghang County, Fujian Province, in the mountainous region of western Fujian, was not low. The "post-80s" couple Li Xiaowen and Liang Yongying were busy in the fields, and this "rice couple" was ushering in a long-awaited harvest. Born into farming families and graduates of key universities, Li Xiaowen and Liang Yongying spent many years striving in big cities before finally choosing to return to their hometown and set up a family farm to grow rice. Their planting scale has expanded year by year, and they now have 869 mu of rice fields. Under the guidance of the local agricultural department, they have carried out a series of experiments including soil improvement and ecological restoration, becoming locally well-known "rice planting stars." Having focused on rice cultivation for many years, Li Xiaowen and his wife have accumulated extensive experience in rice planting and processing, and their yield has also increased year by year. According to Li Xiaowen, based on the harvest situation, the yield of this season's rice can reach 900 jin per mu, an increase of 5% over the same period last year. In addition to the bumper harvest, what delighted Li Xiaowen and his wife even more was that their "second child" was also born not long ago. During the harvest days, Li Xiaowen and his wife would take their child to walk around the fields from time to time.
