Returning Party member leads disabled villagers to start businesses and pull out poverty's roots
On December 1, Communist Party member Huang Wenjian chats with fellow villagers on the way to work at the Dajiesi Village poverty alleviation and entrepreneurship park for disabled people in Lijia Township, Linshui County. Huang Wenjian is a native of Dajiesi Village. After graduating from university, through diligence and hard work he became the general manager of a technology company with an annual salary of more than 200,000 yuan. In 2008, Huang Wenjian accidentally injured his left arm, causing necrosis of the left elbow joint and nearly losing his left forearm. After treatment, although he saved his arm, he was still left with a disability.

In the spring of 2013, Huang Wenjian voluntarily gave up his high salary in Chongqing, leased nearly 300 mu of land in Group 3 of Dajiesi Village, Lijia Township, created the "Lijia Township Poverty Alleviation and Entrepreneurship Park for Disabled People," and took the lead in establishing the "Wenxi Fruit and Vegetable Professional Cooperative," leading disabled people and poor fellow villagers in the area who still have some ability to work to start businesses.
Huang Wenjian shows the product trademark of the "Wenxi Fruit and Vegetable Professional Cooperative." "Whether I personally make money is not important. Leading my fellow villagers to live a good life together is my ultimate goal!" This is the original aspiration that brought Huang Wenjian back from the big city to the "agricultural gate."
In the poverty alleviation and entrepreneurship park for disabled people, Huang Wenjian helps disabled fellow villagers harvest vegetables. In September 2014, a flood disaster caused heavy losses to the entrepreneurship park. Facing the disaster, Huang Wenjian did not give up. He sold his property and shares in Chongqing, raised funds, and led fellow villagers in self-rescue production. At present, Huang Wenjian's poverty alleviation and entrepreneurship park for disabled people has developed into an ecological melon, fruit and vegetable base covering nearly 600 mu.
Talking about the overall master plan for ecological agricultural tourism at the Lijia Township entrepreneurship park for disabled people, the disabled villagers working in the park are full of confidence. Since the beginning of this year, Linshui County has vigorously implemented the "Party Member Targeted Poverty Alleviation Demonstration Project." Relying on Party member entrepreneurship demonstration households, it has provided Party dues support at the standard of 20,000 yuan for each project, innovated a "crowdfunding model," and amplified the scale effect of poverty alleviation funds. At present, the county has invested a total of 520,000 yuan in Party dues, implemented 26 demonstration projects, and driven 67 poor Party members and 132 poor households to participate.
By the small stream in Guanghuading Village, Huang Wenjian and his co-workers transport out ecologically friendly fresh vegetables. Huang Wenjian combined his fruit and vegetable planting base with the "Party Member Targeted Poverty Alleviation Demonstration Project," adopting the model of "base + poor Party members investing and operating as shareholders + poor farmers working at the base," to help poor Party members and poor people vigorously develop fruit and vegetable planting, increase income and become prosperous.
