Fruit-fed chickens raised under the forest carve out a path to wealth

On December 10, in Sanle Village, Si'en Town, Huanjiang Maonan Autonomous County, young returning entrepreneurs Wei Lidong and Wei Jian were feeding chickens with fruit (as shown in the photo). It is reported that, relying on the unique under-forest land resources and the advantages of forest shade, Wei Lidong and Wei Jian live off the mountains, raising free-range native chickens suited to local conditions, and feeding them mainly on fruits such as bananas, apples and snow pears (with cornmeal as a supplement), naming them "fruit chickens."
It is understood that these "fruit chickens" have a rearing cycle of more than 7 months, with a single bird weighing about 2.5 kg. Because they have long been fed nutrient-rich fruits such as apples, snow pears and bananas, and because they are naturally free-range with a large amount of activity, the chicken meat is tender, and the taste is pure and delicious.
In addition, the two also adopted the "Internet Plus" model, selling the chickens through modern marketing methods such as WeChat businesses and e-commerce, so that each chicken sells for 188 yuan. Besides being sold locally, the product is also sold as far away as Nanning, Guangdong and other places, boosting their income.
