On November 26, an acceptance team composed of experts from 7 institutions including the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and the China National Hybrid Rice Research and Development Center conducted on-site yield measurement and acceptance of the demonstration introduction project of Zhangzagu No. 8 cultivated with fenlong (deep loosening) technology in Binyang County, Guangxi. ? Zhangzagu No. 8 is a new foxtail millet variety bred by the team of Zhao Zhihai (left in the photo above) of the Zhangjiakou Academy of Agricultural Sciences in Hebei Province. It is heat-tolerant, high-yielding and nutrient-rich; the fenlong technology invented by the team of Wei Benhui (right in the photo above) of the Guangxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences can significantly increase crop yields and improve the soil environment. In early September this year, the two experts joined forces to pair good seed with good methods, using fenlong technology to introduce Zhangzagu No. 8 to Binyang County, Guangxi. By Zhao Yongxin
