Farmer-Made Peanut Harvester Wins National Patent

It is currently the autumn harvest season, and farmer friends are busy harvesting their crops. Peanut growers in Xilonghuzhuang Village, Rengezhuang Town, Fengrun District, Tangshan City, Hebei Province, not only have the joy of a bumper harvest, but also praise for the self-propelled peanut harvester developed by their fellow villager Liu Wei and his two friends.

"This year harvesting peanuts was easier for me. The machine developed by Liu Wei and the others harvested for me for free. It not only saved time and effort, but the damage rate was also very low. Most importantly, three farmers developed a high-tech machine, which is truly something to be proud of!" Chang Xuesong, a villager from Xilonghuzhuang Village, told this writer with a smile.

It is understood that the self-propelled peanut combine harvester, independently developed over 5 years by farmer Liu Wei and his two friends, has recently been put into production and began entering the market. This peanut harvester won five national invention patents. It can work on 3 ridges and 6 rows simultaneously (7 rows simultaneously for flatland planting), harvest 4-6 mu of peanuts per hour, and uses a main bin and an auxiliary bin to separate large and small peanut pods, with a very low damage rate, greatly reducing labor and achieving relatively high work efficiency.

A few days ago, this machine was driven into the peanut fields of Xilonghuzhuang Village and, through an on-site demonstration, harvested more than 100 mu of peanuts for the villagers free of charge. Its first brilliant appearance won unanimous praise from the villagers. Zhu Dayong
