New-type urea shows remarkable effect in boosting crop yields
"After yield measurement, the demonstration field averaged 1297 kg per mu, while the control field averaged 1196 kg per mu. The SODm urea treatment increased the yield per mu by 8.4%, and it is recommended to step up the promotion of this urea." On September 19, the field on-site observation and technical training class on SODm urea and SODm synergist of the National Agricultural Technology Extension Service Center of the Ministry of Agriculture was held in Daqing City. Relevant experts conducted on-site yield measurement of the SODm field demonstration project in Zhaoyuan County and announced the above yield measurement conclusion.
It is understood that SODm urea is a new type of urea jointly developed by CNPC and Daqing High-tech Zone Huamei Technology Co., Ltd. Compared with ordinary urea, it has technical features such as high activity, no heavy metals, no toxicity and degradability, and has obtained a national patent. Up to now, the product has been promoted over an area of more than 270 million mu nationwide. Calculated according to data provided by the National Agricultural Technology Extension Service Center, it has increased farmers' income by at least 13 billion yuan, and has been widely recognized by farmers.
In the corn SODm urea application demonstration field in Zhaoyuan County, the reporter found that compared with the control field, the crops in the demonstration field grew more vigorously. Among them, the corn stalks were thicker and the kernels fuller; the rice tillers increased noticeably and the root systems were more developed.
According to reports, from 2013 to 2016, the National Agricultural Technology Extension Service Center also carried out field trials in Hunan, Gansu, Ningxia, **, Tibet and other provinces (regions) to verify the yield-increasing effect of the product. The trials showed that compared with ordinary urea, the product can noticeably promote crop growth, increase plant height, tillering, 1000-grain weight and number of ears per mu, reduce bare tips and sterile ears, and can significantly raise crop yields. According to estimates, corn, rice and wheat yields increase by about 8% on average, and income per mu can increase by 50-220 yuan. Among them, in high-altitude areas such as Tibet, the yield increase can exceed 10%. Zhao Hui, head of Daqing High-tech Zone Huamei Technology Co., Ltd., said that next, they will continue to increase capital investment, develop other new fertilizer products on the basis of SODm urea, and use modern agricultural science and technology to help farmers achieve increased production and income.
