Langfang Development Zone Brings in CCF Waste Gas Purification Equipment

Hebei News Network (Correspondent Wang Weiguo, Wang Wenheng; Hebei Daily Reporter Xie Lida) Recently, the province's first CCF waste gas purification equipment was put into operation at Libbey Glassware (China) Co., Ltd. in Langfang Development Zone, which will play a positive demonstration and driving role in the company's air pollution control.

Founded in 1818 and headquartered in Ohio, USA, the Libbey Group is a world-renowned glassware manufacturer. In 2005, it established its subsidiary, Libbey Glassware (China) Co., Ltd., in Langfang Development Zone, and has won the title of "Top Ten Enterprises in China's Light Industry Daily-Use Glass Industry (Daily-Use Glassware)" multiple times in succession. In 2015, Libbey decided to invest 18 million yuan to install desulfurization, denitrification and dust removal facilities for its glass furnace to improve its environmental performance, and ultimately selected the advanced multi-pollutant catalytic reaction candle filter waste gas purification technology from the German company DURR, achieving a three-in-one treatment effect of denitrification, desulfurization and dust removal through a single device, while the collected matter after reaction can be comprehensively utilized as building material, producing no waste.

According to the relevant person in charge of the Libbey Group, the CCF waste gas purification equipment overturns the complexity of conventional treatment technologies, achieving a 3-in-1 treatment of sulfides, nitrogen oxides and particulate matter. It can ensure that the treatment process is carried out at high temperature, with small system pressure drop, requiring no additional energy for heating, thus saving operating costs and ensuring treatment efficiency and results. Moreover, this equipment is capable of controlling sulfides and nitrogen oxides at low levels.
