Zanhuang youth Han Shengren returns home to start a business and open a Taobao online store
"I am now a rural Taobao partner, mainly responsible for a rural Taobao station, making it convenient for villagers to shop through the Taobao platform." Recently, while interviewing at the Zanhuang County Internet Plus Poverty Alleviation Incubation Base with the interview group for the "Beautiful Hebei - Most Beautiful Entrepreneur" selection and showcase event, the reporter met Han Shengren, a 27-year-old young man who returned home to start a business 4 years ago. He said that he not only wants to become rich himself, but in the future also wants to spread knowledge about online sales so that villagers can sell their own things online and maximize profits.
Han Shengren is from Heishi Village, Xuting Township, Zanhuang County. In 2009, through an introduction, he worked as a skilled worker at an enterprise in the south. "The income was not bad, more than 3,000 yuan a month." Han Shengren's change came from an accidental encounter with his hometown's local specialties. One day, a coworker in his dormitory bought a few jin of black dates and brought them back. "Isn't this the black dates from my hometown? Here they sell for six or seven yuan a jin, while in the village they are only six or seven mao a jin. The price difference is about 10 times." Han Shengren felt this was a business opportunity and decided to return home to start a business.
In 2012, after returning to his hometown, Han Shengren first sold Zanhuang specialties through an online store, including black dates, persimmons, wild jujube kernels and others. Later, with a local government-guaranteed interest-free loan, he took out all his savings and borrowed some money from relatives and friends, and built an 87 sq m cold storage facility. In 2014, he had his own company. Last November, the Zanhuang County government signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Alibaba,
and in January this year Alibaba officially moved in. After training and selection, Han Shengren became a rural Taobao partner, responsible for a village's rural Taobao station. "This model is mainly about opening up the online channels for the 'upward' flow of agricultural products and the 'downward' flow of industrial goods. Through the village Taobao platform, it can both make shopping convenient for the people and realize online sales of rural specialty products, solve the difficulty of selling agricultural products, and drive farming households out of poverty."
The reporter learned that in Zanhuang County today there are more and more rural young people returning home for employment and entrepreneurship like Han Shengren. With their knowledge and enthusiasm, they are leading their fellow villagers on the road to escaping poverty and becoming rich.
"The county's first batch of 43 Alibaba rural Taobao stations officially opened on March 28, involving 17 poor villages and reaching 2,409 poor households. Up to now, cumulative transaction volume has reached more than 300,000 yuan," said Liu Jinjun, deputy director of the Zanhuang County Government Office. In order to expand the operating capacity of rural Taobao and increase the income of poor people, Zanhuang County also plans to recruit "Taobao helpers" in batches and by stages in poor villages throughout the county. In the first batch, a total of 190 "Taobao helpers" were recruited in Tumen Township, Zhangleng Township and Huangbeiping Township, and centralized training was conducted.
It is reported that the postal company and Shijiazhuang Hao Xiangqin, two e-commerce enterprises settled in the Zanhuang County Internet Plus Poverty Alleviation Incubation Base, are the undertaking enterprises for the county's project to bring e-commerce into all rural areas. At present, rural e-commerce service stations have been established in 142 villages, including 47 poor villages, and by the end of June full coverage will be achieved in 212 administrative villages. At the same time, the county plans to recruit 50 poor people from poor villages to work in express sorting, delivery and other work, in order to help them escape poverty.
