In 2017, Huaibei City continues to implement the minimum purchase price policy for wheat

According to monitoring, in order to protect farmers' enthusiasm for growing grain and promote the development of grain production, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Agriculture, the State Administration of Grain and the Agricultural Development Bank of China recently jointly issued the "Notice on Announcing the 2017 Minimum Purchase Price for Wheat", and in 2017 the state continues to implement the minimum purchase price policy in the main wheat-producing areas. For this reason, the Huaibei City Development and Reform Commission (Price Bureau), in setting the minimum purchase price for wheat, took into comprehensive consideration factors such as grain production costs, market supply and demand, domestic and international market prices and industrial development. The minimum purchase price for wheat produced in Huaibei City in 2017 (third-grade quality) is 118 yuan per 50 kg, equivalent to 2.36 yuan per kg, unchanged from the 2016 level.
