College student returns home to grow strawberries, forging a new path in agricultural entrepreneurship

As the Spring Festival approaches, Zhang Jie, a college student who returned home to start a business in Tangchi Town, Lujiang County, Anhui Province, picks (sorts) fresh strawberries in his own greenhouse.
In June last year, after graduating from university, Zhang Jie did not yearn for the bustle of a big city. Instead, he had a special affection for his hometown Tangchi Town, one of "China's Most Beautiful Villages and Towns," and resolutely returned to his native place. With the help of the local government, relatives and friends, Zhang Jie transferred 100 mu of land, raised 2 million yuan, built 100 greenhouses, and hired strawberry-growing experts at high salaries to start strawberry cultivation. At present, the early-maturing strawberries are all on the market, sold to large and medium-sized cities such as Shanghai, Hefei in Anhui, and Nanjing in Jiangsu. It is estimated that this year's strawberry output can reach more than 100,000 kg, with an output value of 3 million yuan.
