Pubei returned migrant farmer develops cattle farming to lead villagers to prosperity

Huang Wanying and Wu Yu, returned migrant farmers from Liucun Village, Dacheng Town, Pubei County, used their savings from many years of working away from home to invest in building a cattle farm on a hillside outside the village. This both realized the couple's dream of starting a business and becoming prosperous, and provided employment and income growth for more than 10 local farmers and impoverished households at the cattle farm.

On February 7, the author saw at the cattle farm of the Yulai Beef Cattle Breeding Professional Cooperative in Liucun Village that Huang Wanying and Wu Yu were busy using a machine to chop sugarcane leaves and other green feed.

Huang Wanying told the author that in March 2015, the couple returned home together to start a business and earn money in the village. In June of the same year, with the support of the local Party committee and government and the village's two committees, the couple busied themselves with one task after another, earnestly carrying out site selection and land leasing, and soon the cattle sheds were built, the office building was completed, King grass was planted, and breeding bulls and cows were purchased. The couple learned while doing, and embarked on a path to prosperity through cattle farming. In 2016, their cattle farm sold 20 beef cattle.

At the start of the new year, when talking about their future plans, Huang Wanying and her husband told the author that they still want to build several more cattle sheds, and strive to expand the cattle farm's breeding scale to around 100 head by the end of this year, so as to provide employment for more people and lead more villagers to prosperity.
