Seeing us arrive, cooperative member Tang Qinzheng walked out of the chicken shed and grabbed a spirited-looking chicken to show the author.

In 2016, Guangxi Liangting Poultry Group Co., Ltd. officially settled in our county. After many investigations and studies, Tang Qinzheng decided to rely on the relevant policies for raising Liangting chickens to lead a group of poor households to invest in raising Liangting chickens, and established a cooperative.
"The farm was established in June 2016. The total area of the chicken farm reaches more than 5,000 sq m, with a total investment of more than 800,000 yuan. Now, the number of native chickens ready for market reaches 50,000." Tang Qinzheng told the author passionately.
The first problem the farm encountered was still the issue of breeding technology. Although the company provided technical training, it was still far from enough, resulting in a low survival rate of chicks. After a period of systematic study and exploration, Tang Qinzheng's breeding team has now fully mastered every stage of raising Liangting chickens and has developed its own set of breeding techniques.
Liangting Poultry Group Co., Ltd. operates using the model of "company + cooperative + large-scale breeding households + poor households," with unified delivery of chicks, unified technical training, and unified sales. This solved the breeding risks for farmers and greatly stimulated their enthusiasm for breeding. "Now, 8 poor households have joined the cooperative. Based on the current breeding scale, each poor household can receive dividends of about 6,000 yuan to 8,000 yuan per year. The profit is still quite considerable," Tang Qinzheng said. "The town actively guides each village to develop characteristic industries according to local conditions and has also given great support to our farm. Next, we will expand the breeding scale and drive more poor households to join the breeding team."
Now, the farm is developing in a good direction. As the breeding scale grows day by day, the farm is driving more poor households to employment. Tang Zongnian is one of many keepers. In earlier years, he had always worked odd jobs away from home. When the village established the farm, he responded positively and joined the breeding team. Now, having mastered hands-on chicken-raising skills, he works with great ease at the farm. "My minimum monthly wage is 1,500 yuan, and there are also dividends. When the chickens are sold, I can also get a certain commission. The income is quite good, and escaping poverty and becoming prosperous is just around the corner," Tang Zongnian said.
