Post-90s grower of Dendrobium orchids helps over 80 villager households increase income and achieve prosperity

He Zhiwei of Nanchong Village, Zhifeng Township, Susong County is a new-generation farmer born in the 1990s. In 2012, after graduating from Anhui Xinhua University with a degree in pharmaceutical engineering, he entered a Dendrobium planting company in Lu'an City as an intern, learning Dendrobium cultivation techniques. In 2013, He Zhiwei returned to his hometown to start a business, trying his hand at growing Dendrobium. Through several years of careful cultivation, he gradually mastered the growth characteristics of Dendrobium, and the base's planting scale also expanded from 5-6 mu at the start of the venture to more than 50 mu at present, with annual sales of more than 1 million yuan. The products are sold far away to regions such as Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai, and the planting base has begun to embark on a path of industrialization and scale, while also helping 80-plus local villager households increase income and achieve prosperity.
