Using the "cattle-raising-cattle" model to lead fellow villagers onto the road to prosperity together

For "cattle-raising-cattle" to succeed, the key is that the breeding chain must circulate. And to keep the industry chain going, it is not enough for him alone to make money; the fellow villagers must also have money to earn. To this end, he contracted more than 20 mu of villagers' wasteland, planted forage grass to raise cattle, and every year provided quality breeding cattle free of charge to disadvantaged people, along with follow-up services for breeding technology and disease prevention. At the same time, Dong Rongpu provided technical help to cattle farmers free of charge, buying back cattle at several hundred yuan per head above the market price; after feeding them again until they were fat and strong, he then sold them to Shizhu, Fengdu and other places, leading the surrounding villagers to "raise cattle with cattle" together.

Under his guidance, dozens to hundreds of villagers from surrounding villages joined the ranks of getting rich by raising cattle. In 2016, Dong Rongpu purchased more than 600 cattle from villagers, and through his own rolling development, sold more than 1,000 head of beef cattle in total. Dong Rongpu rode "cattle-raising-cattle" onto the road to moderate prosperity.

When the author interviewed him, Dong Rongpu said with full confidence that in 2017 he still planned to rely on planting grass to raise cattle and a rolling development approach, keeping a year-round herd of more than 100 head himself, while increasing his help to villagers in surrounding villages and communities, serving them more, and striving to achieve the goal of cumulative sales of 1,500 head. So far, Dong Rongpu has already sold more than 200 head, and under his guidance, in 2017 more fellow villagers will, with his help, ride cattle raising onto the road to moderate prosperity.
