Succulent Cultivation Helps a Farmer's Daughter Open the Door to Prosperity

Recently, at the Luhuayuan flower cultivation greenhouse in Dongtaxiang Village, Yongqing Town, Yongqing County, young people could be seen coming in groups of two or three to pick out succulents, some even bringing various flower pots to assemble potted arrangements in the greenhouse.
The owner of these succulents is Wang Ping, a farmer's daughter from Luhuayuan in Dongtaxiang Village.
Once, when Wang Ping visited a friend's home, she saw several pots of potted flowers with different shapes displayed there. Wang Ping was immediately drawn to their cute appearance.
In 2016, after investigating many options, Wang Ping contracted a greenhouse at Luhuayuan east of Dongtaxiang Village and began growing succulents. From preparing nutrient soil and grafting succulents to fixing shape arrangements, she not only learned from books and the internet and sought guidance from experts, but also went out to study on multiple occasions. The succulent varieties and shapes she grows are deeply loved by consumers and have brought considerable economic benefits, with annual income reaching 50,000 to 60,000 yuan. Wang Ping said there are more than 200 varieties of succulents in the greenhouse, many of them imported varieties, priced from a few yuan to several hundred yuan.
