What difficulties does our country's tea export face? Analysis of industry bottlenecks and current situation
Technical barriers are becoming more and more serious. In recent years, tea-importing countries have continuously increased the number of pesticide residue testing items for tea and raised the maximum residue limit standards for imported tea. For example, in the "Positive List System for Agricultural Chemical Residues in Foods" published by Japan, there are 276 testing items related to tea, and the detection limit for all of them is 0.01mg/kg. The pesticide residue limits for tea published by the European Union in 2010 reached 453 items, 170 more pesticide testing items related to tea than in Regulation (EC) No 149/2008, and tea pesticide residue limit standards are becoming increasingly strict.
Testing costs are continuously increasing. European and American tea buyers have demanding requirements and designate international testing institutions such as Eurofins for tea testing. The cost of routine testing items for tea samples is as high as more than 5,000 yuan, and the annual testing cost for large enterprises is as high as several million yuan.
Investment in base construction and technological transformation is large. In order to adapt to the needs of the international market, enterprises need to renovate some export bases and factories every year. At present, the commerce department does not provide financial funding support for enterprises' export base construction and technological transformation, increasing the burden of enterprises' capital investment.
International trade risks are increasing. The current international situation is unstable, and local wars and tensions and turbulence occur from time to time. For example, the Ukraine crisis and the Russian currency crisis have intensified tea export risks.
