Batunasun has won awards many times in league-level and banner-level evaluations and competitions for Chahar sheep and improved-breed livestock. At the same time, he is also a specialized household for the Chahar sheep core herd and breeding ram production in the banner, and a demonstration household for financial management and accounting in the whole banner.

Batunasun, now 33 years old, was influenced since childhood by his father, an excellent breeding technician in the Gacha, and studied and researched sheep artificial insemination and cattle cold semen breeding technology. Starting in 2010, Batunasun began to independently carry out artificial insemination of livestock. For 5 consecutive years, he helped 5 herder households in the Gacha carry out artificial insemination on nearly 600 overwintering breeding ewes and on his own 450 foundation ewes, with a conception rate of over 95%. In just a few years, the individual quality and herd output value of their several sheep flocks improved significantly, and their income also increased substantially.

Batunasun not only has excellent breeding technology, but also has many advanced ideas in production and operation. In 2016, with the support of the banner, Batunasun established a family ranch and began a large-scale, intensive, and commercialized production and operation model. During this period, he invested 48,000 yuan to purchase 20 purebred South African Merino sheep and continued improvement on the basis of Chahar sheep. At the same time, his family ranch supplied cattle and sheep directly to consumers through direct sales, eliminating intermediate links, and last year earned more than 100,000 yuan.

Driven by Batunasun, the herders of Bayinchagan Gacha also gradually changed the extensive management method of the livestock industry and began coming one after another to learn from Batunasun, studying technology and the business concepts of modern livestock husbandry. Batunasun also always taught the villagers all aspects of experience and knowledge without reservation, and often took the initiative to visit their homes to solve technical difficulties for them.
