Grassland Chicken Farming Helps Realize the Dream of Prosperity

Bao Yuzhu, 35, is from Saiyin Wendu Gacha, Xinjiamu Sumu, Horqin Right Middle Banner. Five years of hard work in Beijing ended because of his concern for his parents, and he chose to return to his hometown to start a business. Through nearly two years of steady hard work, he has carved out a new world of his own on the vast grassland.

In July 2007, Bao Yuzhu graduated from Inner Mongolia University of Technology, and later worked as a rough rolling operator on the hot rolling production line at Jilin Iron and Steel Co., Ltd., and through his own efforts quickly became a workshop technician. In 2010, at his wife's request, Bao Yuzhu came to Beijing to seek development, and took a job at Beijing Xinghe Zhonggong Equipment Technology Co., Ltd., becoming a mechanical designer. Through unremitting efforts, Bao Yuzhu became a project manager after one year. After another year or so, Bao Yuzhu successfully challenged himself and turned into an engineering manager, using eight months to successfully install and debug a 20 million yuan color coating production line.

In early 2014, Bao Yuzhu became the manager of the company's sales department selling entire production lines, and in one year signed projects worth tens of millions of yuan.

In early 2015, the birth of his son gave Bao Yuzhu unprecedented joy, and he also felt an added sense of responsibility, while personally experiencing how hard it is to be a father. Just as Bao Yuzhu and his wife were still immersed in the joy brought by the little life, sudden illness struck down his father and his father-in-law. His father was diagnosed with advanced gastric cancer, and his father-in-law was diagnosed with brainstem hemorrhage. The young couple had been drifting away from home and had hardly shown filial respect to the elders of both families. In order not to leave any more regrets, the couple both wrote resignation letters and took their son back to their hometown. After handling his father's funeral affairs, Bao Yuzhu, who had not yet emerged from his grief, began preparinga business project, for he wanted to give his family a better life.

Under the state's vigorous call for entrepreneurship by all the people, Bao Yuzhu made the decision to found a Horqin Grassland green culture series product - ecological eggs. With the help of relatives and friends, Bao Yuzhu rented pastureland located in the Xinjiamu Sumu national-level wetland protection area of Horqin Right Middle Banner and the Xianghai national-level protection area of Jilin Province, and began his entrepreneurial journey. At present, Bao Yuzhu has registered a company and created the "Haobaore" brand. "Haobaore" means precious, rare, and scarce in Mongolian. In his childhood memories, the eggs from his hometown were especially delicious, but while drifting in big cities, he rarely ate eggs with the same taste. Bao Yuzhu wanted his son and the people around him to be able to eat the freshest and most delicious eggs anytime and anywhere, so he chose the ecological chicken farming industry.

In June 2016, after more than two months of preparation, Bao Yuzhu finally bought the first batch of chicks from out of town, 1,200 in total. Seeing the shed full of chicks, Bao Yuzhu was full of drive. But problems came one after another. The temperature in the chicken coop would not rise, so Bao Yuzhu burned the stove in the coop all night after night; because the vendor had not vaccinated the chicks on time, Bao Yuzhu traveled several hundred li to buy vaccines. When things were busiest, he and his wife could sleep only two or three hours a day. Hard work pays off, and the young chickens passed the most dangerous 45 days, with a survival rate of over 90%. After several months of careful raising, the first batch of chickens was ready for market, and this money became Bao Yuzhu's first pot of gold from returning home to start a business. At this time, Bao Yuzhu began designing and making gift boxes, plastic bags, and adhesive labels. In early December of that year, the chickens began laying eggs, the egg production gradually increased, and Bao Yuzhu's income also increased day by day. Now, at the most, his monthly income is more than 7,000 yuan.

With the vigorous promotion of "Haobaore" brand ecological eggs, Bao Yuzhu's determination to carry ecological farming through to the end became even firmer. He constantly encourages himself to work even harder, to unite the ecological farmers of Horqin Right Middle Banner, to build a hometown brand, to let customers across the country eat the freshest and purest ecological eggs, and to help more farmers and ordinary people become prosperous.
