These days are their busy summer season, and the new variety of colorful wheat introduced to the village last year can finally be harvested.Colorful wheat is a new planting project introduced by the Nanyang Municipal Bureau of Commerce in accordance with the spirit of the city's poverty alleviation work conference, in combination with the poverty alleviation work development plan of Sheqi County, through experts' multiple on-site inspections of Songzhuang Village, and in light of geographical conditions such as climate and soil.
Ripe colorful wheat
It is understood that this project was recommended by the Nanyang Municipal Bureau of Commerce, with support such as raw materials and technology provided by Henan Fuzhidi Industrial Co., Ltd. The company provides villagers with colorful wheat seeds, conducts training for farmers on scientific planting and breeding techniques, and provides technical guidance at each stage. Through standardized planting operations and management before, during and after production, it cultivates distinctive agricultural product brands and leading enterprise brands, aiming to realize a large-scale, standardized and branded agricultural operation model and form a complete order-based agricultural industry chain for colorful wheat in Songzhuang Village. The company also signs colorful wheat order contracts with farmers, and purchases the wheat at a preferential price for farmers higher than the market price when it is ripe. The initial demonstration planting area has reached more than 200 mu. According to Wang Yaofu, director of Songzhuang Village, due to the impact of climate and weather this year, ordinary wheat suffered severe pests, diseases and lodging, while the colorful wheat in Songzhuang Village generally showed strong disease resistance and lodging resistance, with basically no lodging. Villagers also said one after another that this colorful wheat does not use chemical fertilizer, yet its yield has not decreased. It is truly a pure natural, pollution-free high-quality variety.
