Taiwan guava production and sales are stable with steady prices: how much per jin, and how many tons marketed

The Council of Agriculture recently invited the top 100 enterprises, the eight major banks, state-owned enterprises, airline caterers, five-star hotels, and supermarket and hypermarket channels to launch a "public-private collaborative agricultural product promotion platform" to help market agricultural products. Council of Agriculture Minister Chen Chi-chung said at a press conference on the 17th that he will continue to drive up guava prices and is confident that within a week the average transaction price will exceed 20 yuan per kilogram.
2,000 tons of guavas absorbed in half a month
According to statistics from the Council of Agriculture, from April 1 to April 16 the three major measures have helped absorb 2,151.8 tons of guavas, including 174 tons under "diversified marketing", such as promotions by supermarket and hypermarket operators, military side-food supplies and institutional meals for correctional facilities, and farmers' association supermarkets and corporate group buying.
Hu Chung-yi, Director-General of the Agriculture and Food Agency, explained that in addition to diversified marketing, processing procurement is publicly announced by the county and city governments of the main producing areas to solicit purchases for processing, while for exports, export operators are matched with farmers' groups in the producing areas to expand exports. Currently guava prices are rising steadily, and the Taipei Agricultural Products Marketing Corporation guava auction price on the 17th also reached 17.4 yuan per kilogram.
In addition to helping stabilize guava prices, there are also pineapples and bananas. Hu Chung-yi also said that from February 26 to April 16, not including the portion exported to mainland China, 2,142.5 tons of pineapples had been absorbed; from March 5 to April 16, 727.63 tons of bananas were absorbed, all of which have stabilized the prices of the various agricultural products.
Chen Chi-chung said that when Taipei Agricultural Products Marketing Corporation prices are about to fall to the monitoring price, the Agriculture and Food Agency will match secondary-grade products into processing plants to reduce the secondary-grade products sent to the Taipei Agricultural Products Marketing Corporation, so fresh fruit prices will be higher, and the domestic sales portion will be assisted by the public-private collaborative agricultural product promotion platform.
