New agricultural production model drives farmers to increase income and become prosperous

Recently, in the farmland of Chenjiawan Village, Suxian District, dozens of villagers were busy transplanting rice seedlings for hybrid rice seed production. Since 2016, Chenjiawan Village has used the "cooperative + members + farmers" model as well as self-raised funds and national fiscal subsidies to transfer 500 mu of land for rice seed production. After a year of construction and preparation, infrastructure such as tractor roads and irrigation and drainage channels is ready, and large-scale seed production of early rice and middle rice has now begun. Through seed production and services such as providing farmers with improved seeds, it can drive thousands of nearby farming households to increase their annual income by several thousand yuan each.
