Daxi Camellia Festival Secretary-General Li Xianming: Welcome Everyone to Get Close to Camellias

Taoyuan City Government Secretary-General Li Xianming went to the 2nd floor of the Taoyuan City Integrated Conference Hall yesterday (the 3rd) in the morning to attend the "108 Daxi Camellia Festival Press Conference." Secretary-General Li Xianming said that in addition to producing tea, Taoyuan also has camellias as one of its features. Camellias may look small, but their blooming period falls around the Spring Festival, making them very festive. The theme of this Daxi Camellia Festival is "Discovering Dakekan Flowers, Awakening the New Look of Tea," and it will be held from January 12 to January 20 of this year (108) at the Daxi Yuemei Leisure Agriculture Area. Members of the public are welcome to join in the event.

Secretary-General Li Xianming mentioned that Daxi is one of Taiwan, China's top ten tourist townships, with a rich cultural atmosphere that fully displays the city's charm and is highly distinctive. In addition to the Yuemei Leisure Agriculture Area, where the Daxi Camellia Festival is held, the nearby Shanzhuhu Ecological Water-Friendly Park is also close by. The two are connected, with beautiful scenery, and enjoy nationwide fame, making them great places for members of the public to visit. In the future, the city government will work hard to make Daxi tourism even better, and hopes that the camellia exhibition will be a complete success.

In addition, the 108 Daxi Camellia Festival has also prepared many wonderful farming experiences for the public to take part in. On the 4 holidays during the 9-day event, local small farmers in the Daxi Yuemei Leisure Agriculture Area will present a rich array of experience activities and invite the public to participate for free. For the relevant activities, members of the public can sign up on the Facebook page of the "Daxi District Yuemei Leisure Agriculture Development Association." Those who have not registered can also sign up on site during the event.
