Premium agricultural and fishery products from Chiayi County will be delivered directly to Taipei Hope Plaza on December 1-2

The Chiayi County Government will hold a Chiayi Week event at Taipei Hope Plaza on December 1-2 to market and sell premium agricultural and fishery specialties. Famous chefs will give live demonstrations of "Winter Fish Freshness" dishes, with bonus gifts for winter delicacies, fragrant orange jelly DIY, prize quizzes and tastings. The Chiayi Week event will strictly select 45 premium agricultural and fishery specialty vendors, including the Chiu Brothers Ecological Aquaculture Center, Formosa Fish Farm, Shrimp World, the Rongjie Milkfish Production and Marketing Group, the Aquaculture Fisheries Development Association and the Zhuqi Farmers' Association, selling barramundi, milkfish, ponkan mandarins, sweet oranges, bananas and tea and other agricultural and fishery specialties. The freshest and most delicious agricultural and fishery products will be delivered straight from the place of origin to Taipei, so consumers can enjoy them nearby without traveling to the source.

The Chiayi County Agriculture Department said that coastal aquaculture in Chiayi County is highly developed, with abundant, high-quality aquatic products. In particular, Chiayi County is the largest seabass producing area in the country, and the farmed species include barramundi, Japanese seabass, largemouth bass and silver seabass, covering nearly 400 hectares with an output of more than 10,000 metric tons. From now until next spring, the seabass is plump, fresh and sweet, and rich in nutrients.
