2014 Wanbao Watermelon Festival and Green Academy Lecture

I. Event Description:
The annual Wanbao Watermelon Festival has long been a shared memory for everyone, offering consumers a rural festival to return to year after year, and meeting once a year has become a shared understanding among all. Due to internal community factors and funding factors, there was no large-scale Wanbao Watermelon Festival in 2013. Our cooperative and Wanbao worked together to hold instead a small and lovely "Wanbao Mini Watermelon Festival Rap Show." In 2014 the cooperative also launched a series of Green Academy lectures. The June 14 theme, "Recovering the Vanishing Countryside," was originally scheduled to be held in Taichung. As that day coincided with the Wanbao Watermelon Festival, we moved the venue of our Green Academy lecture to the Wanbao farmland, combining resources to expand the energy of the event.
