When a NCCU International Trade grad meets Gaoyi honey peaches,
Behind the sweetness lies a bitter truth.
The first bitterness: orchard farmers toil all year round, yet when the harvest comes they are exploited by middlemen and cannot make ends meet;
The second bitterness: parents struggle to make a living, while their children, innocent and carefree, see their childhood slip away in a flash.
Watching his alternative service term, a fleeting glimpse, the year about to end;
Looking up and down the Northern Cross-Island Highway mountains, traces of the past, the young man sighs.
He vows to do his utmost to help the farmers sell their own produce directly;
Hoping for a sustainable livelihood, wishing the tribe the joy of family togetherness.
