New Taipei winter tea hits the market. Mayor Eric Chu yesterday (the 19th) attended the "New Taipei Good Tea" press conference held by the Agriculture Department, titled "A Small Cup of Fragrance, A Great Door of Knowledge." He stated that New Taipei City's annual tea production is 400 tons, with an output value of about 1.1 billion yuan. It is not only the birthplace of Wenshan Baozhong tea, but also the largest Baozhong tea production area, ranking first nationwide in output, quality, and technique. He invited the public to visit New Taipei's tea gardens and taste good tea.

Mayor Eric Chu stated that New Taipei City is one of Taiwan's largest tea-producing areas, with tea districts spread across Pinglin, Xindian, Shenkeng, Shiding, and other places. Through "New Taipei Good Tea," tea districts from various areas are integrated. Under the vigorous promotion of the farmers' associations, the tea is produced in accordance with the safest and strictest standards, allowing consumers to drink with peace of mind and making "New Taipei Good Tea" not just a brand, but also a guarantee of quality.

This year's winter tea has two important features: first, "locally produced," and second, "true skill, good tea." Mayor Eric Chu said that New Taipei's veteran tea masters do not hold back and pass down tea techniques from generation to generation. Young people receive true skill instruction from the old masters. Therefore, since the 100th year of the Republic of China, New Taipei City has won the "National Tea-Making Technique Competition Strip-Type Group Championship" for 8 consecutive editions, and the quality is absolutely trustworthy.

The "Winter Tea Exhibition and Sale" will be held next to the Pinglin Tea Museum on December 1, 2, 8, and 9, over two consecutive weekends. Limited-edition commemorative tea boxes and various experience activities will also be launched. They can also be purchased at Hope Plaza next to Shandao Temple MRT Station in Taipei City.
