Grand opening of Quanri Logistics Taitung Station: County Magistrate Huang Chien-ting hopes to help sell agricultural, fishery and livestock products
Quanri Logistics Co., Ltd., a major national cold chain logistics company, in order to integrate the island-wide low-temperature chain and support local agricultural product sales in Taitung, took part in the Taitung County Government's investment promotion to build the Taitung Logistics Transfer Station, and held its opening ceremony yesterday (the 11th). Taitung County Magistrate Huang Chien-ting specially expressed his thanks, hoping to help with refrigerated (frozen) logistics transport and sales of Taitung's agricultural, fishery and livestock products and increase the income of farmers and fishermen.
The opening ceremony began at 10:30 a.m. on the 11th, and the guests present included County Magistrate Huang Chien-ting, Quanri Logistics chairman Chen Hsu-chu, Council of Agriculture senior technical specialist Yuan Hua-hsing, Taitung County Farmers' Association director-general Tai Chen-tung, Taitung Area Farmers' Association director-general Li Chien-tung, Taitung County Agriculture Department director Hsu Jui-kuei, Taitung County Agricultural Products Company standing director Huang Chiu-yu, architect Lin Kun-tseng, and Kainan Construction general manager Kuo Chun-yu.
Quanri Logistics chairman Chen Hsu-chu said that the company took part in the Taitung County Government's public tender and obtained a 20-year lease on 6,500 sq m of county-owned land (Taitung City Dafeng Section, Lot 856) within the site of Taitung County Agricultural Products Co., Ltd., and after about 4 months of construction completed the Taitung Logistics Transfer Station. He hopes that Quanri Logistics' effective cold chain system will allow Taitung's high-quality agricultural products to be marketed to the whole world.
County Magistrate Huang Chien-ting said that the bigger problem facing Taitung agriculture is not production but the sales side, mainly because it is far from markets, and the process of collecting and transporting goods creates great difficulties for farmers. The Taitung County Government therefore consolidated the idle land of Taitung Agricultural Products Company and actively promoted investment, and was very happy to find such a good partner as Quanri Logistics, which efficiently invested 40 million in 4 months and built the 406-ping plant. He hopes that more farmers, farming households and operators will raise everyone's performance and income through cooperation.
