At the 2017 Yunlin Lantern Festival Rural Good Goods Pavilion, we heard Brother Lin of "Mailaiqu Bakery" speak

Wutu Community in Linnei Township, Yunlin County is abundant in rice and taro.

At the age of 40, Brother Lin returned to his hometown, Wutu Community in Linnei Township, and began learning baking. Out of love and dedication to his hometown, he incorporated the community's product, Zhuoshui rice, into his baking, thus creating the uniquely distinctive "Zhuoshui Rice Cake," and founded "Mailaiqu Bakery." Besides the Zhuoshui Rice Cake, he also uses taro grown in his hometown to make a taro paste roll with a rice cake base.

When we asked about his sales approach, Brother Lin said he did not want to expand the bakery's operations; he only wanted to establish his own brand in Wutu Community and make the Zhuoshui Rice Cake a unique community specialty product. He said: "It's precisely because only we have it that its uniqueness stands out even more."

We invite you to come to the Yunlin Lantern Festival Rural Good Goods Pavilion and taste this uniquely distinctive "Zhuoshui Rice Cake."
