Flora Expo Light Travel: Taichung City Government Launches Cruise-Style Sightseeing Bus

The Taichung World Flora Expo is about to open. The Taichung City Government Tourism and Travel Bureau, in conjunction with the Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications' "Tourism and Amusement Industry and Related Industry Alliance Cooperation Project," has launched the "Flora Expo Small Town Fun - Cruise Bus Light Travel," planning 4 routes. Departing every Thursday and Friday from November 1 to December 14, the routes include themes such as "Intellectual," "Hands-On," "Adventure," and "Afternoon Tea." The public must register online in advance, and each tour lasts about 3 hours.

The Taichung City Tourism and Travel Bureau stated that the 4 routes connect industries in Houli, Waipu, and Fengyuan, including tourism factories, cultural and creative businesses, dining, accommodation, and leisure agriculture. These include the "Intellectual Tour," which takes visitors to the Tai'an Railway Park, Mengfang Flower Farm, and Zhongshe Sightseeing Flower Market; the "Hands-On Tour," which visits the Zhang Lianchang Saxophone Museum and the Carpenter Brothers Woodworking Workshop; the "Adventure Tour," which includes Yueke & Houli and Jiubao Village; and the "Afternoon Tea Tour," which offers experiences at Zemin Tree, Yuemei Sugar Factory, and other local spots.

Chen Shengshan, Director-General of the Taichung City Tourism and Travel Bureau, pointed out that the journeys offer half-price special experiences, including buy-1-get-1-free on the Lihpao Ferris wheel, while the Carpenter Brothers Woodworking Workshop, Zhang Lianchang Saxophone Museum, Yueke & Houli Dream Building Handicraft Center, Jiubao Village, Xingyue Dadi Landscape Restaurant, and Mengfang Flower Farm also offer experience discounts of over 400 yuan. To welcome international visitors, foreign-language guides accompany guests throughout the cruise bus journey, and guide training is provided for each participating shop, allowing visitors to experience the beauty of local culture.

The Taichung City Tourism and Travel Bureau noted that the cruise bus light travel discount program is limited to 2000 spots, runs from November 1 to December 14, and departs every Thursday and Friday.
