2018 Taipei Hot Spring Season runs November 1 to 5 - welcome to Beitou!

Every autumn, the Beitou event everyone looks forward to most - the "2018 Taipei Hot Spring Season" - enters its 17th edition this year and has become one of the biggest annual celebrations in Taipei and Beitou. To help the public better understand the charm and unique features of hot spring culture, the Taipei Hot Spring Season, an tourism event organized each year by the Department of Information and Tourism of the Taipei City Government in cooperation with Beitou hot spring operators, will grandly kick off from November 1 to 5 in the Beitou area. Venues include the MRT Xinbeitou Station plaza, Qixing Street, Qixing Park and Beitou Park, among others. All the fun, delicious food and great deals of the Beitou hot spring area are gathered here. A visit to the Taipei Hot Spring Season guarantees a rewarding and worthwhile trip!

The Department of Information and Tourism joined hands with the Taipei Hot Spring Development Association to promote Beitou's hot spring and tourism industries, and specially held a press conference for the "2018 Taipei Hot Spring Season" on the 24th in the first-floor lobby of the Taipei City Government building to warm up for the season. On site, 12 Beitou hot spring operators were invited to present "One Shop, One Specialty in Beitou: Chef's Limited Seafood Cuisine" for the public to taste, and Beitou children performed an adorable seafood dance. Children's palanquin bearers and witch dolls were also arranged to appear together on stage, along with a full reveal of the various offers of this year's hot spring season, inviting domestic and international tourists to visit Beitou during the event, enjoy the famous hot springs, savor delicious food and experience the most exciting Taipei Hot Spring Season celebration.

This year the organizers also specially developed an app created for the Taipei Hot Spring Season, "In Xiang Beitou". Simply download the app to get Taipei Hot Spring Season and Beitou-related information at any time and stay fully on top of all the event's great deals. This Taipei Hot Spring Season also introduces LINE Pay cooperation for the first time, providing a more convenient way to pay, in the hope that diverse technology close to the payment habits of the mobile generation will drive more spending in the Beitou hot spring area.
