Want to use sheep manure as organic fertilizer? You cannot skip the composting step

Summary: Want to use sheep manure as organic fertilizer? You cannot skip the composting step
Sheep manure pellets are the black, soybean-sized droppings excreted by sheep. After being fully composted and fermented, sheep manure pellets are excellent organic fertilizer. Besides supplying fertility to alkaline soil, they can also improve the compaction of poor soil, and they have broad market prospects. Because sheep are herbivorous ruminants, they drink very little water, so the sheep manure they excrete comes out as individual pellets, dry and hard; after drying in the sun they become even drier and harder, and cannot easily be broken apart.
Sheep manure is a hot fertilizer. If it is applied directly to farmland without fermentation and composting, it will cause root burn and seedling burn in plants. If the E. coli, nematodes and other bacteria and pests in sheep manure pellets are applied directly to farmland without fermentation and composting, they will cause plants to become infected with diseases and pests.
So how are dry sheep manure pellets fermented and composted? How do you compost sheep manure into bio-organic fertilizer?
The prerequisite for composting is that the moisture content of the sheep manure pellets reaches about 55% to 70%, which is roughly when you grab the sheep manure and there is a water mark between your fingers but no water dripping down. If the moisture content of the sheep manure pellets is low and they are too dry, composting will be poor; if the moisture content is too high, aeration will be poor, the temperature will rise too slowly and an odor will be produced. If too much water has been added, you can add an appropriate amount of bran, straw, dry soil, etc. and stir to neutralize it.
If you only have a small amount of sheep manure pellets at home, you can choose a clean sealed container, put the mixed sheep manure pellets in it, seal it, and place it in a sunny spot to sun-dry. In summer it can be fully fermented in less than half a month; in spring and autumn, when temperatures are low, the time needed is slightly longer.
If a relatively large amount of composted sheep manure pellets is needed, you need to pile them up facing the sun for fermentation, and you can cover them with plastic film. Humidity is best kept at 60%. When the core temperature of the fermentation pile reaches 70 degrees or above, turn the pile promptly to ensure an adequate oxygen supply inside. It can be fully fermented in about half a month. Composted sheep manure pellets are soft, dark brown, and carry the winy aroma of fermentation. To make the fermentation more effective, you can add an organic fertilizer fermentation agent during fermentation.
Composted sheep manure pellets are excellent organic fertilizer. When applied to farmland and flower fields, plants absorb them well and their roots will not be burned, so seedlings will not be damaged.
