It is time to grow lucky bamboo again; in some places it is also called water bamboo. Although many people say lucky bamboo is very hard to care for and that its leaves turn yellow as you grow it, what you may not know is that lucky bamboo has incredibly tenacious vitality. Even if all its leaves have dropped off, it can still sprout again, take root and grow new leaves. Try it if you do not believe me!

Tall lucky bamboo

Many of the lucky bamboo arrangements bought on the market are quite tall, and when you get home you find the vase is a bit short. So what do you do? Today Yatou will teach everyone how to turn one pot of lucky bamboo into two pots.

First, keep the upper part of the lucky bamboo tip at a length that suits your vase, and try to make sure the lower part is at least 5 cm.

The part with leaves can be inserted directly into the prepared vase for care. Just make sure there is ventilation, and plain water is enough for growing it; try not to add any nutrient solutions, as they are not of much use.

For the remaining part, you can apply a small amount of edible wax to the cut surface to briefly inhibit root growth and encourage side buds to sprout! Very soon many small tender shoots will grow, and leaves will appear! When the tender shoots grow, the roots below are basically formed as well. It is best to transfer it to soil cultivation, so the nutrients will be a bit more plentiful.

Ta-da, after growing it in soil, is not a pot of lucky bamboo like this also very beautiful? Unlike water cultivation, the flat cut top, together with the fresh tender leaves, is it not even more attractive!
