The kitchen didn't have a water bar installed - no wonder the walls always grow mold spots. Install one right away.

Every time I clean the house, everywhere else is fine, but the kitchen is nothing but trouble. We all know that the kitchen has not only water but also cooking fumes, so areas like the stove and the range hood get especially dirty.
A few days ago, when Huahua was cleaning the house, it took a whole morning just to get the stove clean. Not only was my arm numb from exhaustion, but the floor hadn't even been mopped yet! Then I spent more time mopping the floor, and as I mopped, I noticed a spot on the kitchen wall covered in black patches. Looking closer, it turned out that mold had grown on the kitchen wall!
So Huahua quickly found a handyman to take a look, wanting to fix it properly and get rid of the mold spots on the wall, and to see what the handyman would say. When the handyman arrived at Huahua's home, he told me that it would have been good to install a water bar on the kitchen wall during the renovation! I was confused and quickly asked what a water bar meant.
The handyman said that a water bar is actually meant to keep water from directly touching the wall. Many people have them installed at home; otherwise, moldy walls are just too common. The water bar looks just like tile, and installing a strip at the bottom of the kitchen and in places prone to moisture contact makes the effect very obvious.
The handyman also said that water bars aren't just stuck on randomly. Water bars are divided into front water bars and back water bars. The front water bar is relatively short and not easy to notice, while the back water bar is a bit taller, about 5 cm or so. After choosing a good color, it can blend in well with the whole environment and won't look abrupt.
Generally speaking, the front water bar is installed at the edge of the kitchen counter to prevent water and oil from flowing outward and dirtying our clothes. The back water bar is usually installed between the kitchen counter and the wall. The back water bar plays a bigger role - it is precisely the back water bar that can prevent moisture from soaking the wall and causing the wall to grow mold.
After the handyman finished speaking, Huahua understood instantly. The handyman also said that it's not just the kitchen countertop - even for the floor, it's recommended to install a back water bar. When we use water normally, it's inevitable that some will spill on the floor, and installing a water bar will play a big role!
Some families may use a mop to mop the floor. Sometimes the mop's moisture isn't wrung out thoroughly, and when mopping along the edge of the wall, it's very likely to get the wall wet. Indoor air-drying is relatively slow. Huahua has to say that this water bar is really a good thing!
However, the height of the water bar also needs to be controlled. Generally, the water bar is controlled at about 5-10 cm. If it's any taller, it will make the room's renovation look a bit odd somewhere and won't blend better with the home's style.
After saying all this, has your home installed this water bar? If not, then before the walls grow mold, install it right away!
