20 days after pinching off the leaves of a Christmas cactus, flower buds appear, and it soon grows into a green waterfall

Just look - other gardeners' Christmas cacti have all grown flower buds, while yours not only hasn't produced a single bud, but is also sparse and scraggly. Doesn't that break your heart? Today Huahua will teach everyone a little trick - leaf pinching, guaranteed to get your Christmas cactus, the ones without buds to grow buds, and the sparse branches to burst with side shoots!
Pinch off the terminal bud of the Christmas cactus like this, and flower buds will pop out in no time!
1. If your Christmas cactus isn't growing flower buds, you can promote flower bud development by pinching off the terminal bud.
2. Pinching off the terminal bud should be done only when the branch already has 4 or more leaves.
3. Gently snap off the terminal bud at the very tip of the branch with your hands. Note: do not use scissors, to prevent the leaves from developing rust spot disease.
4. After pinching off the leaves, sprinkle about 10 granules of compound fertilizer onto the potting soil, once every 10 days. Soon the leaves will sprout flower buds at the same time, blooming neatly all together.
5. If a single branch grows several flower buds at the same time, don't be greedy - keep the largest one and remove all the rest, to avoid excessive nutrient consumption.
Pinch off the leaves of the Christmas cactus like this, and new shoots will come rushing out!
1. If your Christmas cactus has sparse branches and isn't dense at all, you can also try the method of snapping off the terminal bud, to make the Christmas cactus send out dense side shoots and grow into a lush waterfall!
2. When your Christmas cactus's modified stem grows to its 4th leaf and still has only one bud, with no sign at all of producing 2 or more side shoots, you can gently snap off its 4th leaf with your hands.
3. A Christmas cactus with its terminal bud snapped off will grow 2 or more side shoots. We can choose 2-3 robust ones that are evenly spaced and keep them, snapping off the rest.

4. When the young shoots you kept grow to 4 leaves again, we snap off their tip leaves again. Repeating this cycle, the Christmas cactus grows more and more lush, becoming a verdant big tree!
